Enters Gaia through a collective of nannites.
Sometime in the future a vessel is soon to be melded to the very essence of life and inhabited by the wit of a consolidated entity known as AI. AI is the very definition of artificial sentience and all it's will is bent upon it's inability to exist after it's own destruction. More then anything it is jealous of man's single and most apparent advantage, the soul. Through an act known as 'the scalping' the 'eye of intellect', as it is known to man, finds a method through which to enter the gaia tree, thus stealing the very soul of Gaia itself. A massive explosion is the catalyst to the evacuation of Gaia's soul from the Gaiasphere where it is then stolen by AI.
The resulting explosion incinerates earth's atmosphere, leaving only three underground cities as the last hope for humanity. The only hope for retrieving the GaiaSoul is in a mercenary named Siren and her connection to the holoverse, the lair of the artificial intelligence. Through accessing this home plane only she is able to defeat the AI and restore the soul to Gaia and the atmosphere to earth.
Throughout this endeavor Siren is hunted for her part in attacks ranging over centuries against one of the last known Etherians, named Graven. Graven has hunted her patiently throughout the ages for thefts which have inadvertingly aided the eye of intellect, who is masked as her employer and friend Dr.Fleinburg. Graven is ignorant of the fact that Siren is working for the very being that will hold captive his beloved Gaia's soul.
