Gaia’s Dissection 332010
It was mere moments that had passed after Gaia’s death that Siren was sent by Peyton to retrieve her dead body. Peyton was now working more closely with Feinburg, and Strassman. Things were at a critical juncture and a break through in intelligence seemed imminent.
Gaia’s death is a moment in history they had long poured over and studied, but had never quite understood. This instance was different somehow. Despite all the modern technology the age of Entropy could provide Solomon United could not provide a device cunning enough to attain access to a structure that was thousands of years old; The Gaisphere.
Gaia herself now lay dead on Feinburg’s operating table. What would her silent body tell them?
The operating room was arranged to accommodate additional surgeons this go round. Of course Feinburg was dressed to the nines as is custom dictated. Peyton was also in full surgical regalia prepared for post mortem op, as well as her trusted Strassman. Siren hung back in the wing preparing the cryogenic device that would house Gaia’s remains for the Solomon Corporation in the future.
“Feinburg lead us through this mess. I will be new territory for all of us. Do we have any clue as to what we will be looking at or for?”, asked Peyton.
“The only experience I have with Etherians is what DNA I have come to isolate from Siren’s encounters with Graven, and needless to say those cell samples are not able to be place with any corresponding body parts that I know.” Feinburg replied.
“We do know that they do not eat or drink so I would not expect to find such things as a stomach or bladder or any relate parts such as these, kidneys and the like.”, Feinburg continued.
“Would you birds quit babbling and cut her up already or do you need some help with that?”, Siren spouts off as she brandishes a laser type weapon from her forearm.
“Clam it sister you just take care of the icebox like we talked about and I will think about giving you those upgrades. Be good to mommy and mommy will be good to you.” Peyton cut back at her in cat like sarcasm.
“Now ladies lets be civil. As a relatively neutral party I will begin the delectables. Scalpel Dr. Feinburg. Let’s get on with it shall we. Said Dr. Strassman .
Strassman made the first cut vertical from clavicle to pelvis about one and one-half inch deep. The Indo skeletal structure was similar to the human mechanism but was not made of bone and marrow, rather it was crystalline in nature as if it lent itself to conduction of energy and heat. The material was pliable to the hands yet as durable as steel. No one in the group had seen a substance quite like it. Peyton’s eyes lit up with wonder as to potential uses for it.
Then they all paused and remembered the unborn child. Siren stopped what she was doing and looked at Peyton and said one word:
“Lotus”
Peyton looked back at Siren and thought for a moment as if millions of computations were running through her mind at once.
“Siren you can’t be serious…” Peyton exclaimed.
“I can carry her to term. You sure as hell can’t.”, Siren replied.
“Siren this would complicate everything and change your entire position.”
“Yeah, well you never told me we’d be killing babies. I am not asking to raise it. Just let me carry it to term.” Spoke Siren in more of a demanding tone now.
“I will consider it but for now we must focus on completing the autopsy. How are we doing boys? Peyton diverted to Strassman and Feinburg.
“Peyton you are going to want to see this. Look where the human heart usually is. There is an orb there that is near perfectly sphereical. Would you like to remove it?”, spoke Strassman.
“Yes, I would. It is beautiful, its blues and greens. It almost looks like a map or a globe. If you go up or down her spinal column lets see if there are more of these orbs. Perhaps this is the source of their energy supply.
“Certainly Peyton….to be continued..
(idea Giren=an assassin made from gaia’ remains spliced into Siren pulled out to be a separate entity(just a thought perhaps for the chrome)
