That's fine but everything is grounded imo with drawing/painting. Using things like that on paintings and drawings is where the truly good
products are made

This painting I am doing. I know if I make semilarge areas of a single color surrounded by a contrast that when we finally scan it for the book..

Ok now what I intend to do [if you are looking at it] is have 2 spikes per quadrant coming out between the spades. Each spike will be divided in half.
So each spike is 2 colors. They will all be the same colorsas each other.
Then between those spikes will be arcs of yellow fading into red

Then in the cardinal directions of N,S,E,W will be 4 bigger spikes which I considered making spirals...but I'm not sure about that
Spirals are extremely hard to keep a symmetrical look
Do you think I am overkilling the symmetry on it?

Hmm. As far as what I read The Chrome stuff would need some changes to match up to the masks etc. I'd have to read one after the other to lay down specifics but it's doable.
