Ok so Graven wakes up after some event to find himself in white surroundings with blinding light. His only refuge from the light is a mercurial door. He opens it.
Inside the door is a rather large room, similar to a hunting log cabin lodge. One each wall is a mask and on the walls are portrayals of events all throughout history.
In the corner a humanoid crow sits in a large lounge chair near a crackling fire with his feet sitting up. Graven takes in the room before noticing a book stand in the corner of the room.
He proceeds to the book stand and places[instinctively] the book upon it. Slowly it begins to animate, flipping through the pages quickly and efficiently.

Preparations for stopping Iboga were well underway. The idea of him taking another life, or for that matter getting anywhere near the Gaia tree repulsed not only Graven, but the entire populace. They worked together making sure the traps were secure and the nets were competent and unforgiving. However nothing could prepare them for the arrival of the golem. The ground quaked and trees split as he entered the forest intent upon his goal of paradise to enter where he was not welcome, the afterlife of the Gaiasphere.
He stomped and he stormed in the thirty foot monstrosity lined with runes and all manner of pumps and gears. They grinded, screamed and screeched as he approached and Axium's nets seemed but humble strings snapped on his path to ascendancy. The first set of traps were utterly useless. There was no way they could have predicted the monster to be so gargantuan and powerful. Once he entered the city Iboga ignored all impediments.
